Head of Customer Care – Paper.li

2013 — 2022

Zendesk WordPress HTML CSS JavaScript

Paper.li was an online content curation platform that enabled users to craft personalized online newspapers. Initially a customer, I caught the attention of the Paper.li team through my use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance my newspaper. They offered me a position to customize papers for other clients, which led to a transition into a support role. Eventually, I became Head of Customer Care, overseeing the support desk while applying my web development skills to maintain and redesign our WordPress support site.

Web Developer – City of Baytown

2002 — 2011

HTML CSS JavaScript Drupal

During my tenure with the City of Baytown, I began as a PC Technician and was subsequently promoted to the role of Web Developer, a testament to my technical proficiency and problem-solving skills. In this capacity, I independently led the redesign, development, and maintenance of the city’s primary website, utilizing Drupal as the content management system. This project was recognized with the prestigious 3CMA Savvy Award in 2010 for its exceptional user experience and visual design. Furthermore, the initiative resulted in significant cost savings of approximately $50,000 by eliminating the need for external web development services.
